A Strategic Partnership of 9 organisations operating in the voluntary work and VET fields in 6 Member States, since October 2019 in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, is developing a European model for the social inclusion of young people in difficulties. 👀
About 130 youngsters aged 15-30 will take part in a pilot test through training courses and sessions of mentoring in tandem, finding a mentor from the specific branch they are interested in—with the involvement of about 80-90 senior mentors.
EvolYou—acronym of “European senior Volunteering through mentoring for the social inclusion of Young people in difficulties”, is a forward-looking project funded by the European Commission, focused on improving the level of key competences and skills, with particular regard to their relevance for labour market and their contribution to a cohesive society, mainly through strengthened cooperation between the world of education and training and the world of work. It is addressed to young people starting with a “competitive disadvantage” towards their peers looking for their first job in order to reach, through one-to-one mentoring paths, a critical mass. 📌
The invitation addressed to each young participant is an invitation to evolve on a personal level thanks to the strengthening of own self soft skills, which (s)he will obtain through the help of a senior expert mentor. 😮🤩
